Softball Recap: Farmersville Makes It Five in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Farmersville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against the Wonderful College Prep Academy Wolves on Tuesday as they made off with a 19-1 win. Considering the Aztecs have won 14 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Emily Alatorre, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexis Hernandez, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.

Farmersville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wonderful College Prep Academy only posted an OBP of .300.

Farmersville pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.2 runs over those games. As for Wonderful College Prep Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-16.

Farmersville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, an 8-7 loss against Hoover on the 16th. Wonderful College Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
