Lighthouse Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They breezed past Riverside Christian Academy to the tune of 77-36. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row dating back to last season.
Lucas Haymer went supernova, putting up 20 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks. He has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 14 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Allen Niles Jr, who posted 11 points.
Having lost for the first time this season, Riverside Christian Academy fell to 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lighthouse Christian will venture away from home to face off against Lancaster Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverside Christian Academy, they will head out to take on Columbia Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
