Football Recap: Windermere Prep Starts Season with Victory Against Trinity Prep

Windermere Prep had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 27-26 win over the Trinity Prep Saints. That's more bragging rights for the Lakers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ty Tracey threw for 157 yards on only ten passes. Peyton Hollern was his top target, picking up 63 receiving yards.

Although Trinity Prep took the loss, they still got scores from Finn Davidescu, Kyle He, and Jayden Moore.

Trinity Prep now has a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windermere Prep will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Marco Island Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup will give the Lakers their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Trinity Prep, they will be playing at home against Bronson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Saints are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
