The Turlock Christian Eagles were the 51-44 winner over the Millennium Falcons when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Turlock Christian took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Millennium on Friday. Turlock Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Turlock Christian still got an impressive performance from Raphael Babba, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Babba pulled down eight or more rebounds. Parker Watson was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Millennium's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eiden Ndeithi led the charge by scoring 20 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jae Shaun Phillips, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and seven assists.
Turlock Christian bumped their record down to 4-11 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Millennium, their victory bumped their record up to 4-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Turlock Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Elliot Christian at 8:00 p.m. on January 16th. Elliot Christian has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. As for Millennium, they will head out on the road to take on Venture Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Venture Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,229 points over their last 16 contests.
