Softball Recap: Neenah Extends Winning Streak to Four

Neenah won against Oshkosh West on Friday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Rockets' pitchers stepped up to hand the Kimberly Papermakers a 7-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Neenah, bringing their record up to 10-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Kimberly, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-3-1.

Neenah and Kimberly should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Rockets will challenge Oshkosh North at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (5 vs. 169). Meanwhile, Kimberly (ranked 12th) will meet Appleton East (ranked 202nd) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
