The Hug Hawks entered their tilt with the Truckee Wolverines with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Hug blew past Truckee, posting a 70-33 win at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Hug has posted since December 18, 2023.
It was another big night for Amari Davis, who dropped a triple-double on 24 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 assists. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bol Makur, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Hug's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Truckee, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hug will face off against North Valleys at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in North Valleys' favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches. As for Truckee, they will head out on the road to square off against South Tahoe at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Tahoe has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
