If the Holly Wildcats were riding high off their 49-10 takedown of the Kit Carson Wildcats back in December of 2023, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Holly received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 47-33 to Fowler. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Holly has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Holly still got an impressive performance from Truman King, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. King scored a full 42.4% of Holly's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Devin Eaton, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds.
Holly's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Fowler, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holly will take on Granada at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fowler, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Hoehne at 4:00 p.m. on January 12th.
