Plainview has been on the road for four straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Sulphur Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Plainview is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sulphur in Oklahoma (Plainview is ranked 72nd, while Sulphur is ranked 306th).
Even though Lone Grove scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, Plainview still came out on top. Plainview snuck past Lone Grove with a 65-59 win.
Plainview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacelyn Hammon, who scored 15 points along with six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Marya Southerland, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Sulphur suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 68-30 loss at the hands of Madill.
Plainview is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Sulphur, they dropped their record down to 5-13 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Plainview took their victory against Sulphur in their previous meeting on January 5th by a conclusive 41-21. Does Plainview have another victory up their sleeve, or will Sulphur turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
