Not much got past Gracie Chalupnicki, who gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks to keep Southern Cayuga off the board.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Abbi Tracy, who scored four runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Taylor Bergerstock, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.
Union Springs' win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
