They strolled past North Raleigh Christian Academy with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 71-56. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Charlotte Christian was led to victory by Marshall Nicholson and Daniel Guandolo. Nicholson scored 16 points, while Guandolo scored 29 points along with six rebounds. Terence Guess was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
North Raleigh Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Cody Dickerson, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds. The contest was Dickerson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brennen Jefferson, who scored 16 points.
Charlotte Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
Charlotte Christian will head out on the road to face off against Charlotte Country Day School at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Charlotte Country Day School presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Charlotte Christian in North Carolina (Charlotte Country Day School is ranked 61st, while Charlotte Christian is ranked 325th). As for North Raleigh Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ravenscroft at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Ravenscroft has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 409 points over their last six contests.
