The Lanier Voks were the 36-20 winner over the Burbank Bulldogs when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lanier took a 31-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of Burbank. Lanier has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Burbank got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rene Espinoza out in front who picked up 170 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Espinoza's longest reception was for an incredible 86 yards. Johnny Alvarado and his 92 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Burbank's win.
Lanier's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Burbank, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Lanier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Burbank will take on Veterans Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Veterans Memorial is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
