There's no place like home for the John Carroll Patriots, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 66-48 victory over Episcopal on Saturday.
Tyler Pelkey and Bryson Carter certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Pelkey scored 11 points along with eight rebounds, while Carter scored 15 points. Davian King was another key contributor, scoring three points.
John Carroll now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Episcopal, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
John Carroll will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Anthony's at 3:15 p.m. on December 28th. Hopefully St. Anthony's focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Sunday. Episcopal won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Friends Academy at 11:00 a.m. on December 17th. Friends Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 249th in New York, while Episcopal is ranked 119th in Virginia).
