It was a good run, but the Excelsior Charter Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were beaten by Walnut 97-22. Excelsior Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-10.
Walnut's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cory Fluker, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Daniel Dai was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Excelsior Charter now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Walnut, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Excelsior Charter will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Canyon Springs at 3:00 p.m. on December 27th. Walnut won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. Mountain View is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
