Basketball Recap: Twin Lakes Skates Past Rensselaer Central with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Twin Lakes). They blew past the Rensselaer Central Bombers 64-33 on Saturday. The score was close at the half, but the Indians pulled away in the second half with 41 points.

Keaton Miller was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Leo Dellinger, who posted ten points and six assists.

Twin Lakes smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in eight consecutive games dating back to last season.

Twin Lakes is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Rensselaer Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Twin Lakes and Frankfort will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Twin Lakes is facing Frankfort at the right time seeing as Frankfort is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Rensselaer Central will take on Hanover Central in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
