On Tuesday, the Keokuk Chiefs were out to avenge their 61-59 defeat to the Burlington Grayhounds from their previous meeting last December, but they had no such luck. Keokuk has to be aching after a bruising 62-41 loss to Burlington. That's the fewest points the Chiefs have scored all season.
Keokuk's loss pushed them down to 16-6. The win got Burlington back to even at 9-9.
Keokuk is staying on the road on Friday to face off against Washington. Washington is hoping for a better outcome this contest after a 79-44 loss to Iowa City West. The Grayhounds will stay at home against Clinton on Thursday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close game.
