The Saint Mary's Hall Barons came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 42-38 win over San Antonio Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Saint Mary's Hall also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Sedelia Wilson-larkin was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 20 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Isabella (Beya) Chase was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Saint Mary's Hall is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. As for San Antonio Christian, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saint Mary's Hall will take on St. Joseph Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Joseph Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 440th, while Saint Mary's Hall is ranked 194th). As for San Antonio Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Joseph at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Joseph is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
