Kingston entered their tilt with Steelville on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Cardinals. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

The team relied heavily on Nathan Eichhorn, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Ashton Piel was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Kingston's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Steelville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
