On Thursday, the Bingham Miners faced the Corner Canyon Chargers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Bingham escaped with a win against Corner Canyon by the margin of a single free throw,  57-56. Winning may never get old, but Bingham sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
 Bingham was led to victory by  Brianna Badonie and  Addy Horsley.  Badonie  scored 20 points, while  Horsley  scored 24 points along with five  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Makailyn Horsley, who  scored seven points.
 Loss or not, Corner Canyon got some senior leadership from  Elina Mortensen and  Maia Rhay.  Mortensen  scored 19 points along with nine  rebounds, while  Rhay.  scored 15 points along with nine  rebounds and seven  assists. Mortensen is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's  now  scored 15 or more in the last 14 games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brooke Luper, who  scored six points.
 Bingham has  been performing  well recently as they've  won six of their last eight games,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Corner Canyon,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 11-7.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bingham will  face off against Copper Hills at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Copper Hills will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. As for Corner Canyon, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Riverton at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Riverton will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Corner Canyon is ranked 18th).
