Bishop Shanahan has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  square off against Pope John Paul II at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Both teams come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Friday, Bishop Shanahan slipped by Pottsgrove  29-28.
 Meanwhile,  with a playoff game on the line, Pope John Paul II rose to the challenge  on Saturday. They blew past Pottstown 35-0 at home. The  win was just business as usual for Pope John Paul II, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
 Pope John Paul II's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Luke Terlesky led the charge by throwing for 166 yards and three touchdowns.  Boyd Skarbek also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
 Bishop Shanahan's victory was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-5. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-7 Central and 4-7 Great Valley (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 37.4% over those games). As for Pope John Paul II, their win bumped their record up to 11-0.
