The Bastrop Rams put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their undefeated season alive. They came out on top against Brusly by a score of 38-30. For Bastrop, this counts as revenge for the 35-30 defeat Brusly walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2022.
Mariah Heard continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 19 points. Jameiah Peoples was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Bastrop's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-0-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.7 points per game. As for Brusly, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-7.
Bastrop will play host again and welcome General Trass, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Monday. General Trass will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 304th, while Bastrop is ranked 21st). Brusly won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Port Allen at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th. Port Allen is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
