The Brooks County Trojans and the Swainsboro Tigers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Brooks County Trojans had to settle for second. They fell 24-17 to the Tigers. Brooks County's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Swainsboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Demello Jones, who rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Brooks County's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Swainsboro, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.
Brooks County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Swainsboro will be staying on the road on December 11th to face off against Prince Avenue Christian at 4:00 p.m. on December 11th. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Prince Avenue Christian: 15.1, Swainsboro: 10.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
