The Notre Dame Academy Tritons will venture away from home to face off against the Plymouth Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Notre Dame Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Sheboygan North a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Tritons, who have now won five games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ella Nowak made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Olivia Waldrop was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Emma Jahner, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run.
Notre Dame Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Plymouth). Everything went their way against Sheboygan South on Friday as they made off with a 24-0 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.
Plymouth has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Notre Dame Academy, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
Notre Dame Academy was able to grind out a solid win over Plymouth in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, winning 10-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tritons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
