Kenesaw is 10-0 against Franklin since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Kenesaw Blue Devils will be playing in front of their home fans against the Franklin Flyers at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kenesaw has four straight victories, Franklin has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Kenesaw put the finishing touches on their third blowout victory of the season two weeks ago. They put the hurt on Harvard with a sharp 49-25 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Kenesaw has posted yet this season.
It was another big night for Blake Steer, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Lieron Suck, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Franklin suffered their biggest defeat since December 1, 2023 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 65-18 loss at the hands of Silver Lake. Franklin has not had much luck with Silver Lake recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Franklin struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Kenesaw's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5. As for Franklin, they bumped their record down to 1-9 with that loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Keep an eye on the arc in Friday's contest: Kenesaw have been dynamite from deep this season, having only made 36.2% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Franklin, though, as they've only made 26.2% of their threes per game this season. Given Kenesaw's sizeable advantage in that area, Franklin will need to find a way to close that gap.
