I Section III recap November 19, 2013
Desert Ridge added to the longest winning streak in I Section III this week by beating Brophy College Prep, 44-24. The victory was the 11th in a row for the Jaguars.
Red Mountain lost to Mountain Pointe 48-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Mountain View's John Clark and Clark Brown have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-2 quarterback Clark has thrown for 3,040 yards this season, while Brown has 72 catches for 1,306 yards. Desert Ridge's Taren Morrison leads the league in rushing yards with 2,472.
In 165 carries Deion Warren has put up 941 yards this year.
Jeremy Hathcock's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 44 points on the Broncos. Morrison ran for 360 yards in the win.
