The San Juan Broncos pushed their score all the way to 61 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 78-61 fall against South Sevier. San Juan has struggled against South Sevier recently, as their game on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
San Juan's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Anthony Done, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and six assists, and Rj Dalley who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 3 assists. Done is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Jake Ivins was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six assists.
San Juan has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for South Sevier, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Juan will take on North Summit at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully North Summit focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six last Friday. As for South Sevier, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Beaver is ranked 93rd, while South Sevier is ranked 69th).
