3A Region II District 10 recap Oct. 23, 2012
Celina extended the longest winning streak in 3A Region II District 10 this week by beating Lone Star, 61-9. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Bobcats.
Celina moved up to 131 from 188 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Bill Elliot's team climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Rangers 61-9.
Ranchview's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Keidrien Wadley threw for 129 yards and Quinton Butler had 51 yards receiving. On the ground Wadley chipped in 38 yards. Nick Burns helped Ranchview's passing attack out by catching one ball for 38 yards.
Ranchview's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Wadley has thrown for 789 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Burns has 16 catches for 246 yards. Osh-Shakkur Derrick leads the league in rushing with 380 yards.
A big matchup in 3A Region II District 10 this week will be when Lone Star takes on Argyle. Phil Fuller's team is currently in third, while the Eagles are in second.
The Bobcats led the league in scoring this week after putting up 61 points on the Rangers.
