Neumann's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Evangelical Christian hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Evangelical Christian never let Bradenton Christian get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory on Tuesday. Fans of the Sentinels have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Evangelical Christian got a great performance from Hayden Billie as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over 4.2 innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Billie has posted since back in February of 2024.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Keaunna Green, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Karsyn Mootz, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4.
Evangelical Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .400 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Neumann made easy work of Bonita Springs on Thursday and carried off a 15-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Celtics.
Sophia Escobar made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Escobar was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Jesse Camejo and Cecilia Spencer did most of the damage at the plate: Camejo went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Spencer went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Jennifer Drake was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Neumann pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 15.2 runs. As for Evangelical Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
Evangelical Christian took their victory against Neumann in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1. Will Evangelical Christian repeat their success, or does Neumann have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
