Marmaton Valley Gets a Boost from Lawson in 46-0 Victory
Starting off the list is Marmaton Valley's Brayden Lawson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Lawson threw for 164 yards and three touchdowns on only nine passes, and also rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last five games he's played dating back to last season.
Lawson is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Crest on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Lawson saw the Lancers), he threw for 198 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 passes.

A Season-Best Performance from Jaedon Granere Leads Marmaton Valley over Waverly
Marmaton Valley was led to victory by Jaedon Granere, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Granere wasn't messing around, picking up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The game was his fourth straight with two or more receiving touchdowns dating back to last season.
Granere and Marmaton Valley will square off against Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last time Granere took on the Lancers, he picked up 59 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

The second Oswego player making an appearance here is Josh Hutchinson, and for good reason. He rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making six total tackles and defending a pass.
Hutchinson is probably looking forward to his next game, a road matchup against Cedar Vale/Dexter on Friday. When Hutchinson last faced the Spartans back in October of 2023, he rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries.
