Softball Recap: Flippin Wins Going Away Against Omaha

After only two runs in their last contest, Flippin made sure to put some runs up on the board against Omaha on Tuesday. The Bobcats put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 19-2 victory. Considering the Bobcats have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Gracelyn Robins made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Robins was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Rylee Hickey was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jozy Rehrig, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Flippin's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Omaha, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coming up, Flippin will challenge Yellville-Summit at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Omaha has already played their next game (against Bergman), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
