Community School of Davidson has gone 8-2 against Langtree Charter Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Community School of Davidson Spartans will take on the Langtree Charter Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. Community School of Davidson will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Community School of Davidson is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Corvian Community 15-5 on Friday. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Langtree Charter Academy put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Elkin by a score of 7-2. While the Lions didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Tanner Lewis and Aiden Gelpke made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Lewis struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Gelpke tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). At bat, Lewis scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Gelpke scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. Gelpke has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.

In other batting news, Easton Roschke was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Community School of Davidson's record is now 4-1. As for Langtree Charter Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Community School of Davidson came out on top in a nail-biter against Langtree Charter Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 9-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for Community School of Davidson since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
