Franklin put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season on Friday. They put a hurting on Jeanerette to the tune of 42-0. That looming 42-point mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Franklin yet.
No one put up better numbers for Franklin than senior Jarius Boyd, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 286 yards and 3 touchdowns. Boyd has been a consistent playmaker for Franklin as this was the 5th good game in a row from him. Junior Zariq Perry also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.
The win got Franklin back to even at 4-4. Jeanerette's defeat makes it four in a row and drags their record down to 2-6.
It's more conference action for Franklin and Jeanerette in their upcoming matches. Franklin will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against Catholic - N.I. in two weeks at 7:00 PM. Jeanerette will look to defend their home turf next week against Delcambre at 7:00 PM. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable loss.
