After a string of 11 wins, the Habersham Central Raiders's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. Their tough 80-59 defeat to Shiloh might stick with them for a while. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (58), Habersham Central still had to take the loss.
Leading Shiloh to victory were Tylis Jordan and Jullien Cole. Jordan dropped a double-double on 16 points and 19 rebounds, while Cole scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. The contest was Jordan's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Hady Diane, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Habersham Central's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3. As for Shiloh, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Habersham Central will take on Gainesville at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Gainesville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while Habersham Central is ranked 85th). As for Shiloh, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Apalachee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
