The Biggs Wolverines will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Hamilton Braves at 5:30 p.m. Biggs is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
Biggs fell victim to Williams' stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Yellowjackets, falling 33-0. Biggs was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Friday Hamilton sidestepped Trinity for a 16-14 victory.
Hamilton found their leader in underclassman Aaron Velasquez, who rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
Biggs' loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-4. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 6.67 points per game. As for Hamilton, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday' match: Biggs has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 200.1 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Hamilton, though, as they've been averaging only 63.7 per game. How will Hamilton fare against such a dominant running game?
