Greenfield-Central fell 48-41 to Mt. Vernon on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Greenfield-Central in their matchups with Mt. Vernon: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Greenfield-Central still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Mcconnell, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Chaney Brown, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Greenfield-Central's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Mt. Vernon, their victory bumped their record up to 8-13.
Greenfield-Central will head out on the road to square off against Yorktown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Yorktown will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Mt. Vernon will take on New Castle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. New Castle has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12.
