The North Broward Prep Eagles had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 win over American Heritage. That's two games straight that North Broward Prep has won by exactly seven points.
North Broward Prep found their leader in underclassman Mason Chapman, who threw for 342 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes. Tromon Isaac jr. was another key contributor, picking up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Despite the loss, American Heritage still got an impressive performance from Mason Kasten, who threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Surtain, who picked up 118 receiving yards and a touchdown.
North Broward Prep's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for American Heritage, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
North Broward Prep will head out on the road to face off against American Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. American Heritage knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully North Broward Prep likes a good challenge. American Heritage does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
