The Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They suffered a tough 40-14 defeat at the hands of Shepherd. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Coldspring-Oakhurst struggled afterwards.
Shepherd's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Preston Stephens led the charge by rushing for 170 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Landen Dellinger, who rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown.
Coldspring-Oakhurst's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Shepherd, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Coldspring-Oakhurst does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shepherd will look to defend their home field on Friday against Huntington at 7:00 p.m.
