The Bruce Trojans won the last time they faced the Water Valley Blue Devils, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Bruce took down Water Valley 50-32. Bruce pushed the score to 42-22 by the end of the third, a deficit Water Valley cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for A'toria Knox, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Bruce's points. Laken Corbitt was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Bruce has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-12 record this season. As for Water Valley, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-19.
Bruce will face off against Ingomar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ingomar will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Bruce surely won't give up without a fight. Water Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
