Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Bloomsburg

Bloomsburg hadn't done well against Lewisburg recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers walked away with a 35-24 win over the Green Dragons. 35 seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Wyatt Brosious was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 187 yards and three TDs, and also threw for 172 yards and one touchdown. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. 103 of Brosious' passing yards were hauled in by Jack Katulis.

Lewisburg's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Xavier Carter, who threw for 190 yards and a pair of TDs, and Jaylen Walker, who picked up 109 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Carter also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making six total tackles and defending one pass.

The win was the third in a row for Bloomsburg, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.3 points on average this season. As for Lewisburg, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Bloomsburg didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-28 win against Warrior Run on the 12th. As for Lewisburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 36-0 victory against Hughesville on the 12th.
