The Plano Reapers will head out on the road to face off against the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Plano never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Marengo last Friday. They blew past the Indians 48-21 at home.
Waleed Johnson had a dynamite game for Plano, rushing for 240 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. Johnson's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards. Another player making a difference was Armando Martinez, who rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Meanwhile, even though North Boone scored an imposing 34 points on Friday, Dixon still came out on top. Dixon simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat North Boone 62-34 at home. Dixon pushed the score to 49-14 by the end of the third, a deficit North Boone cut but never quite recovered from.
Plano now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Dixon, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
