Sky View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Timpview Thunderbirds. One positive for the Bobcats, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Skyler Murdock was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Rad Sparrow, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Even though they lost, Sky View was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Sky View's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Timpview, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Sky View has already played their next contest, an 8-5 defeat against Roy on the 11th. As for Timpview, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-8 loss against Payson on the 11th.
