The Washington Bulldogs lost against the Walker Wolverines back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Washington took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Walker. While losing is never fun, Washington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Walker is ranked 151st).
Walker's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Moustapha Diop, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Diop has scored at least a third of Walker's points. Another player making a difference was Noah Pederson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Washington and nudges their season record down to 4-9. As for Walker, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington will take on Business Engineering Science Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Business Engineering Science Tech is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses. As for Walker, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Drew Charter at 7:00 p.m.
