Sevier County has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. The Sevier County Smoky Bears and the Rogers Pirates will face off at 11:00 a.m. on December 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Sevier County is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Rogers in their respective states (Sevier County is ranked 48th in Tennessee, while Rogers is ranked 229th in Alabama).
Last Tuesday, Sevier County came up short against Oak Ridge and fell 65-52. Sevier County has not had much luck with Oak Ridge recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Rogers pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a tough 80-59 defeat at the hands of Wayne County. Rogers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Sevier County's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Rogers, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
