Basketball Recap: Boardman Skates Past Struthers with Ease

Boardman won the last time they faced Struthers and things went their way on Friday too. The Boardman Spartans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Struthers Wildcats 80-47. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 32 points or more this season.

Boardman's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26.8 points. As for Struthers, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boardman will host Canfield at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Struthers, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Steubenville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Steubenville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Struthers likes a good challenge.
