The Memphis Yellowjackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight loss. They took a 58-43 bruising from Genesee.
Genesee had a senior duo take command as Conner Rouse scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and Aiden Croak dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Croak has scored at least 25% of Genesee's points. Another player making a difference was Q Bannoura, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds.
Memphis' loss was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 1-9. As for Genesee, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6.
Memphis will take on Capac at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Genesee, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hamady at 7:00 p.m. Hamady knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Genesee likes a good challenge.
