After two games on the road, North Hills is heading back home. They will take on the Chartiers Valley Colts at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, North Hills came up short against South Fayette and fell 60-51. While losing is never fun, North Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while South Fayette is ranked 95th).
Meanwhile, Chartiers Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell 57-45 to Mars. Chartiers Valley has not had much luck with Mars recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
North Hills' loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-7. As for Chartiers Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
North Hills didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Chartiers Valley in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 76-70 win. Does North Hills have another victory up their sleeve, or will Chartiers Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
