The Eagle's Landing Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Locust Grove 68-15 at home. The victory was some much needed relief for Eagle's Landing as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Despite the loss, Locust Grove saw an underclassman step up: Casey Weaver scored seven points. Weaver is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight.
Eagle's Landing's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-11. As for Locust Grove, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle's Landing will play host again and welcome the Wolverines, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Union Grove is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 12 games. As for Locust Grove, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Demons at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st. Warner Robins presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Wildcats in Georgia (the Demons are ranked 36th, while the Wildcats are ranked 350th).
