On Tuesday, Cristo Rey St. Viator came up short against Mountain View Christian and fell 26-18.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Pinecrest Academy Cadence over Chaparral in every quarter on their way to victory on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Pinecrest Academy Cadence blew Chaparral out of the water with a 48-13 final score. Pinecrest Academy Cadence didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Pinecrest Academy Cadence found their leader in underclassman Aspen Larson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds. Larson hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassidy Sandifer, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Cristo Rey St. Viator dropped their record down to 2-14 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Pinecrest Academy Cadence, their victory bumped their record up to 7-18.
Cristo Rey St. Viator was dealt a bruising 37-9 loss at the hands of Pinecrest Academy Cadence when the teams last played back in January. Can Cristo Rey St. Viator avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
