Hancock waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 60-48 victory over the Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers.

Mountain Iron-Buhl's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paige Norman, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Mountain Iron-Buhl is undefeated when Norman posts eight or more boards, but 1-2 otherwise. Sami Warwas was another key player, putting up seven points and nine rebounds.

Hancock's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Mountain Iron-Buhl, they moved to 6-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Hancock won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Cass Lake-Bena at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mountain Iron-Buhl, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll take on Hawley at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
