AAA District 9 recap November 5, 2013
Parker Henry and Dorian Carter provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Lebanon. The connection was good for 87 yards, the longest such play in AAA District 9 this season.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Station Camp beat Hendersonville 21-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Henry threw for 209 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 8-14 with 1 interception.
Kedrin Gilbert made the biggest impact on defense this week as Gallatin fell to Wilson Central. The 6-foot-3 senior recorded 1 fumble.
Carter was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 96 yards on 24 carries as Beech fell to the Wildcats. Treston Wright also contributed to the rushing game with 41 yards on the ground.
Gallatin's Claly Carnes and Hacket led AAA District 9 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Carnes has thrown for 1,554 yards this season, while Hacket has 20 catches for 468 yards. The Buccaneers' Carter leads the league in rushing yards with 1,439.
Portland lost to Mount Juliet 49-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
