Alisal typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Pacific Grove proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Trojans. This was a revenge game for the Breakers: when they faced off against the Trojans on Wednesday, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

The team relied heavily on River Lyon, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Pacific Grove is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for Alisal, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pacific Grove will welcome St. Monica at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Alisal, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Greenfield at 4:00 p.m. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bruins have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
